One Email Per Cavewire Account
Cavewire is a software solution that uses email addresses to create unique accounts. Like other systems, only one email address may be used at a time per account.
Cavewire X XERO Connection
If you have a XERO connection setup, your Cavewire will send invoices through to your connected account using this unique email address.
A user in Cavewire with the email email@cavewire.com will have their Cavewire invoices pushed through to XERO to the user with the same email address in XERO.
If there is not a XERO user with that email address, XERO will create a new user using the details provided from Cavewire.
How to invoice to the same account
If you have an account in XERO that you want to send multiple Cavewire accounts to, you can use the Accounting External ID field in your Cavewire customer information.
To do this:
Step 1
a. Open your XERO connection and find the contact you want to push invoices to and open their account
b. Look at the URL (in your browser) and copy the XERO Account Number. This is found at the end of the URL after contacts/view/*xeroaccountnumber
eg.
https://go.xero.com/Contacts/View/4ab343ad-1ebb-4afe-9d48-1814a93c2081
In this instance, your xero account number would be: 4ab343ad-1ebb-4afe-9d48-1814a93c2081
Step 2
a. In your Cavewire account navigate to the Customers->Manage Customers page. Open the customer you want to link to your XERO customer account
b. Add the XERO Account Number you found in the steps above to the Accounting External ID field in your customer's Account Information Tab
c. Save your customer and repeat for any other customers you want to send to the XERO account above.
