What are the best specifications for my product images?

To add a product image into your Cavewire system we recommend the following file types:

• JPG 
• PNG

PNGs are great for showing your product images with a transparent background to give you design and styling flexibility. 

Traditionally the format of 720px X 900px has been used and is still great for e-commerce sites.

Cavewire is also setup to incorporate social-media friendly sizes of 1080px X 1080px.

The most important aspect of product images is to try to reduce the file size while also maintaining quality.

Cavewire incorporates built in product image optimisation, however there are useful tools on the web like TinyPNG that allows you to compress larger files without having to use editing programs like Photoshop.
